Closed System

Here at Thrive we offer closed-system colon hydrotherapy treatments using a state-of-the-art Class II Medical device. It employs multi-stage water purification systems, individual one-time use disposables which eliminate any contamination to the client from a previous treatment, and a lighted viewing chamber. Water is discreetly transported into the drain line without any offensive odor and after each session the until is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.

Our skilled, certified hydrotherapist will use a number of fills and releases of warm, filtered water, as well as light abdominal massage techniques to dislodge the waste matter from the walls of the client's colon. Once the fecal matter is dislodged it flows down the tube into the waste system.

Clients are always covered and will themselves assist in the insertion of the speculum/nozzle. A typical session will last approximately 45 minutes and will utilize up to 16 gallons of water to flush the colon. The therapist may employ various techniques to improve the effectiveness of the treatment such as massage (as previously mentioned), breathing and relaxation techniques as well as adjusting water temperature and flow.
