Implants & Add-ons

What are implants?

During a colon hydrotherapy session, clean, warm, filtered water is cycled through your large intestine. However if anything other than water is added, it is called an "implant". An implant is an enema-type therapy which delivers healing herbs and/or supplements throughout the entire colon to address specific concerns.  Usually administered after a colonic, the implant is retained for a specific amount of time (anywhere from 2-15 minutes depending on the implant), then expelled.

Coffee Implant

While still not a mainstream way to fight illness, coffee implants and enemas are nothing new. Coffee enemas and colonics have been around since the late 1800s, used at the time to help speed up healing following surgeries or to combat cases of accidental poisoning. First made famous by the Gerson Institute in the 1950s, when it began using coffee enemas as part of natural cancer treatments, others are now turning to this procedure for various ailments - especially those that don't respond well to traditional treatments or prescription medications.

Why use coffee?

As bizarre as putting coffee into your large intestine may sound, the practice of coffee enemas/colonics has existed for many years. Dr. Max Gerson (the author and creator of the Gerson Therapy) used the detoxifying powers of coffee to stimulate the liver to release toxic bile stores, thereby freeing up the once burdened liver, allowing it to focus on other jobs of detoxification. Doctors at the University of Minnesota showed that coffee enemas stimulate an enzyme system in the liver called glutathione S-transferase by 600-700% above normal activity levels. This enzyme reacts with free radicals in the blood stream (which cause cell damage) and renders them inert. Neutralized substances are then dissolved in the bile, and released through the bile flow from the liver and gallbladder, and are excreted through the intestinal tract.

CBD Implant

CBD, or cannabidiol, is the second most prevalent active ingredient in cannabis (marijuana). It is derived directly from the hemp plant, and does not cause a "high" by itself. According to a report from the World Health Organization, "In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential…. To date, there is no evidence of public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD." CBD oil is one of the safest natural herbal remedies you can find. It is non-addictive, non-toxic, and non-intoxicating. It does not cause any mind-altering effects. Studies show that humans can easily tolerate high doses of CBD without any severe side effects.

Consuming CBD as an implant or suppository possesses specific benefits over it being taken orally. CBD oil for oral use has a lower bioavailability because it has to pass through the digestive system. The fatty tissues in the stomach and the intestines absorb some of the CBD. Hence, a significant percentage of the cannabinoid will not be used because it will not reach the bloodstream. Implants deliver a high percentage of the CBD directly to the bloodstream through the rectum's mucosal linings. Therefore, most of the product's components are fully utilized to relieve pain and other ailments.

Benefits of CBD

Current research on CBD has found that it may help the following conditions:

1. Anxiety and Depression

CBD’s ability to calm is perhaps its most popular effect and the reason its use is so widespread. A 2017 study in the Brazilian Journal of Psychiatry tested the anxiety levels of 57 men in a simulated public speaking test. Those who received 300 milligrams of CBD experienced significantly reduced anxiety during the test compared to those who received the placebo. Preliminary studies on CBD suggest that it could be helpful for depression. Like antidepressant medications, it appears to alter serotonin levels in the brain.

2. Epilepsy Syndromes

CBD has been touted for a wide variety of health issues, but the strongest scientific evidence is for its effectiveness in treating some childhood epilepsy syndromes, such as Dravet syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS), which typically don't respond to anti-seizure medications. In numerous studies, CBD was able to reduce the number of seizures, and, in some cases, stop them altogether.

3. Insomnia

Studies suggest that CBD may help with both falling asleep and staying asleep.

4. Inflammation

CBD seems to have a powerful effect on inflammation, which may make it useful for conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis

5. Chronic Pain

Studies in the U.S. indicate CBD is effective in treating chronic, non-cancer pain. In one 2020 study, researchers administered CBD topically to a group of patients with symptomatic peripheral neuropathy (a result of brain nerve and spinal cord nerve damage) while another group with the same condition received a placebo. Results showed a significant reduction in intense, sharp pains and cold, itchy sensations in those who used the topical CBD compared to those who used the placebo.

6. PTSD Symptoms

In a small 2018 study in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, 11 people with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) received CBD along with routine psychiatric care for eight weeks in an outpatient psychiatric clinic. Ten of the 11 experienced a decrease in their PTSD symptoms.

7. Addiction

CBD can help lower cravings for tobacco and heroin under certain conditions, according to some research in humans. Animal models of addiction suggest it may also help lessen cravings for alcohol, cannabis, opiates, and stimulants.

Probiotic Implant

Residential bacteria form colonies in your gastrointestinal tract, mouth, and vaginal tract. Transient bacteria are travelers that are just passing through. Probiotics are another term for friendly bacteria that live and work in your gastrointestinal tract every day of your life. Think of them as the “home guard,” a mighty bacterial army that defends your body against dangerous invaders. Having sufficient numbers of these friendly bacteria in residence can help prevent a wide range of health problems.

Receiving a dose of probiotics via a colonic implant assures the direct placement of beneficial bacteria exactly where you need it! The presence of probiotic bacteria (good) bacteria), in the body, are crucial in achieving overall health and wellness. Probiotic  bacteria

implants are the most effective way to assure good bacteria are successfully arriving at and repopulating in the areas of the body that thrive off their presence. Probiotic enemas are retained for 15-20 minutes. During this time the probiotic bacteria plant themselves into the colon wall.

Benefits of Probiotic Implants

1. Boosts Immune System

A common side effect of too much bad bacteria are frequent illness such as colds and flus. Incorporate probiotics orally or through enemas, and minimize the potential for bad bacteria to grow. Good bacteria reduces the likelihood and occurrence of illness.

2. Improves Digestion

A sluggish digestive system can involve a variety of symptoms such as gas, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, and indigestion. The incorporation of probiotic bacteria into the digestive system can significantly improve digestive discomforts.

3. Better Mental Health

The connection between the gut and the brain is strong! If bacteria levels are within proper range there is rarely any significant onset of extreme emotion. When gut bacteria are out of balance, emotional outbursts, depression, and chronic fatigue are more likely to occur.

4. Helps with Candida Overgrowth

Candida is an overgrowth of yeast in the body. The body naturally has some yeast, but when its presence is abundant, the body can experience a multitude of side effects such as fatigue, digestive issues, and frequent colds and flu.

5. Increased Energy

One of the side effects of having too much bad bacteria in the digestive system is the presence of Dysbiosis. In this case, flooding the colon with beneficial bacteria can cause a surge in energy levels. (*Dysbiosis: microbial imbalance or maladaptation on or inside the body.)
